How can you guarantee Berkleys chocolates are nut free?

The Belgian chocolate we use is nut free, as are all the fillings or toppings we make and buy in. We can provide specification sheets if required. There are no nuts in the kitchen, and I have allergy training to ensure the safest production and handling of Berkleys chocolates. No Nuts. No nut traces.

Are Berkleys chocolates peanut free?

Yes, when we refer to our chocolates being 'nut free', we include peanuts within this terminology. Our chocolates are peanut free, and free from all other nuts and nut traces.

Are Berkleys chocolates coconut free?

As of August 2019, we are proud to announce that Berkleys chocolates are 100% Coconut Free, and therefore safe for Coconut Allergy sufferers.

Are Berkleys chocolates gluten free?

No, we cannot guarantee our chocolates are 100% gluten free, as some of the ingredients we use contain gluten. All known allergens are highlighted in capitals or bold lettering in the listed ingredients of each product.

Are Berkleys chocolates suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans?

Our chocolates are suitable for Vegetarians, but not suitable for Vegans as they are not dairy free. All known allergens are highlighted in capitals or bold in the ingredients list of each product.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

For now, we only ship within the UK, including Ireland, but this could change one day. Keep checking back to the news page for the latest updates.

Once I have placed my order, how long will my chocolates take to arrive?

All chocolates are handmade to order, so please allow up to 10 days for small orders, and longer for larger orders. The delivery option you select at the time of checkout will also need to be taken into account. You will receive an email when your order has been dispatched. During busy periods, such as Christmas and Easter, delivery could take longer, but we will always advise the date for which you will need to order by, so you can be sure you will receive your chocolates in time!

How should I store my Berkleys chocolates?

Somewhere cool, not in direct sunlight, and away from strong odours.

How long do Berkleys chocolates last?

The solid chocolates have a shelf life of over 6 months, whilst any filled chocolates last up to 6 weeks, as long as they are stored as recommended above. I will always advise the best before date on each order. But of course, it all depends on whether you can keep them for that long without eating them!
